General Visa Policy

Participants from most countries will be required to obtain a visa to enter the People's Republic of China. Please check with your Chinese Embassy or Consulate General or Chinese Visa Application Centre (CVASC) which serves your residence area for your visa application details at your earliest convenience. Without exception, you must have a passport valid for at least six months. Early application is highly recommended.

In general, a Tourist Visa (L Visa) will suffice for your attendance. You might not need to present an invitation letter to apply for a Tourist Visa. However, if it is required or a Business Visa (F Visa) is a must, you probably need an Invitation Letter from the Symposium.

Invitation Letter for Visa Application

To obtain an official Symposium Invitation Letter for visa application purposes, please follow the steps below:

1. Complete online registration
Please register through the conference registration system and provide true and accurate information as requested.
When prompted with the question “Do you require a visa?”, please select “Yes” and complete the relevant visa-related information.

2. Complete the registration payment
The invitation letter will be issued after successful registration and payment.

3. Issuance of the Invitation Letter
After your registration and payment are confirmed, the Local Organizing Committee will issue the Symposium Invitation Letter accordingly.
Further instructions on how to obtain the letter will be provided by the conference secretariat.

240-Hour Visa-Free Transit Policy

Citizens from countries listed in the 240-Hour Visa-Free Transit Policy can transfer to China via any of the following eligible ports of entry including Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, Xiamen Port without Chinese visas. The applicant must hold a valid international travel document (with a validity of at least three months) and interline passenger tickets or other documents with a specified date and seat to a third country(region) within 240 hours, complete the Arrival Card for Temporary Entry Foreigners.
