The deadline for submitting Session and Event Proposals to the 8th Xiamen Symposium on Marine Environmental Sciences (XMAS 2027) has been extended to April 7, 2026.

The 8th Xiamen Symposium on Marine Environmental Sciences (XMAS 2027) will take place on January 11-14, 2027 in Xiamen, China. The symposium will bring together researchers from around the world and it will provide a vibrant platform for exchanging ideas and advancing solutions to key challenges in marine environmental sciences.

The symposium invites proposals for scientific sessions and events that address interdisciplinary and emerging topics in marine environmental sciences and related fields. Areas of interest include physical oceanography, chemical oceanography, biological oceanography, and geological oceanography, as well as marine pollution, marine policy and governance, ocean-based carbon dioxide removal, marine sustainability, the marine economy, marine education and outreach, and Women in Science and mentoring activities.
